Truth is, I can't guarantee a reply if you have a comment or observation to share with me as I am trying to be fruitful for the Lord, which can't be done serving two masters: Him and pleasing the world, and while I may read your comment or observation I would not be able to direct any energy on any kind of reply if it is only in that vein and not with a fruitful purpose, as I am very jealous with my energy and time and don't like using it on things of the world that don't add up for things of the Lord. I say this because having a presence on some social sites, some people just want to chat or debate and carry that conversation outside of those sites in the mediums they like best as instant chat, voip and such, and that kind of activity my time is just too limited to participate in.
All the same I am faithful to reply if I get your email at least to let you know I got it, but more than likely I will not have the time to engage in personal conversations, and this really shouldn't be too difficult of a thing to understand because the Bible lists idle talk and gossip as sins, so what else is there but fruitful talk! How's that for a contact rundown? But wait, I'm not done, yes, there's more.
That's why the phone and I have little compatibility. Do you know how much time can evaporate chatting away...sure you do. Well, fortunately as an older generation person, the wall or desk was and still is the place for telephones as I see them, for someone as myself not needing to track children's whereabouts, and not as a pocket umbilical cord in which you are owned by the next ring that can steer you like a puppeteer. Thanks but no thanks...how was the world ever run before cell phones? Same as it was before: by God and He has a direct line all the time.
Do you know when you don't rely on technology but rely on God, He's more reliable? I've never received more accurate announcements and warnings through that communication system---that's why any cell phone I may have remains turned off until I may have use of it, so the pecking order holds in which I own the phone and it does not own me; therefore, that is why I do not include any phone as a contact method.
And don't get me started on texting as an alternate form of contact: human fingers will always be the same size which fit desktop keyboards. Everything else is like watching a 7-foot tall, 300-pound pro-wrestler in a business suit wheeling around on a little tricycle for toddlers---can be done, but there is definitely something more suited in size.
